Because there is not automatic login pop which is probably the most useful feature in this kind of attacks, I’m pretty sure an automatic login pop up makes this way 200% more successful, you also cannot use wpa to simulate a real closed wifi nor dns spoofing. This attack can be used to gain facebook, gmail anything, without warnings. Also fluxion works against closed wifi waiting and testing wpa, the captive portal in my tutorial works against closed wifi but especially against open Hotspots (with or without internal authentication ) target devices will get only the stronger signal, similar to a karma attack, raising opportunities. And to be honest if you use fluxion (is a great tool for beginners) but without a reworked html is a waste of time most of the time expecially in real hacking scenarios. As final conclusion In my previous tutorial I shared how to forward the traffic, so the target will continue to use the evil twin after authentication. (I will add it asap making a big Thread tutorial for evil twin attacks) I Hope my answer has been exhaustive! |
