Hello as the title says I would like to trace someone I have gathered its email but I would like to know some methods of tracing the person and what are the requirements for it

Doing something like this isn't easy at all, and would require someone with professional knowledge in the area, or dedicating quite a bit of time learning the fundamentals of quite a few topics.

Well if you happened to get into their snapchat account (assuming they use snapchat), you could turn their map location on without them knowing and add a throwaway account of yours just to track their every movement.
Stuff like this isn't as easy as you think it would be, unless you're talking about obtaining their information from specific reverse phone lookup engines.

A good idea but the person would notice this since it checks and fiddles with the location options sometimes so it wouldn't be very effective in my case, it also could raise suspicion on me since it doesn't have that many people with that sort of access.

As far as I know there are not a lot of ways to do that.
I would suggest you to watch the old Defcon videos about this.
The explained way is to get a signal transmitter which will presumably mimic the O2, Verizon or the provider which users you want to capture then because your signal transmitter is closer to the cellphones they automatically reconnect to the closest point and you start intercepting there calls but they cannot receive calls.
Also as far as I know there is a so called shared secret(code) inside the sim card which authenticates the phone to the mobile network and that you cannot get without hacking into the phone.
