Talking about the anime movie "Blame!".

I really love the dark atmosphere the anime is set it and the drawing style, however I believe it lacks story progression and character goals as the whole movie revolves
around circling the starter village.

The same director has made other Netflix shows and movies like Knights of Sedonia, Ajin, and Godzilla anime. They are all quite disappointing IMO but the artstyle is very similar. If you liked the concept of Blame! you should read the manga though

Is that CGI? May I ask why you're into that style specifically? I personally find it severely painful to look at.
