Hello, I'm wondering does this feature actually help prevent viruses from running in Microsoft Office applications?

it stops macros, so sort of.
but it won't magically patch the countless vulnerabilities that have been found in office products over the last few years.

Does it stop macros entirely, or does it just give a warning or disable them by default (with the prompt to enable them)?
For example, would it stop the majority of macro "exploit" builders sold here on hf?
