You were just put in a bad situation. If you felt bad and left the chat, he would get lonely and possibly depressed. If you continued to chat with him, his lonely ass would catch feelings for you. What you did as morally wrong but I'm guessing he really didn't care about the pictures but actually rather just wanted to talk to a girl because IRL i'm guessing not a lot of girls probably interact with him.
