I'm considering going to LA but I want to know the opinions of the area from people who've actually been/live there. Is it as good as people make out? Is it really humid, the type of weather where your clothes stick to your body (Really want to know the answer to this question)?

About the climate, winter and fall are cool (still southern CA so can go out in a hoodie MAX) and spring is nice, shorts and a T-shirt. Summer (especially July/August) is when it becomes a desert and makes you want to die.

L.A is honestly pretty disgusting. I have been there plenty of times. Huge homeless population. Drugs and gangs everywhere. I love the city life I have lived in big cities my whole life but L.A is just to gross.

It's a lot of fun. I'm in LA every week and there is always something to do. I'm big into music and there hasn't been a night in my entire life that I haven't been able to track down a band/artist that I like playing somewhere. The sports scene is great. A lot of cool art if that's your cup of tea. Got beaches, mountains, desert, snow, all within 10-90 mins of LA if you want to venture outside of it.

I've been to LA many times, like most places there's some areas you may want to avoid due to high crime rates and gang violence but as long as you avoid most of those places you should be fine. There's a lot of cool places in LA. But it's not the best place in the world.

I would love to check out Las Vegas. I never been there yet.
