More money = more confidence

Is it just me?

The more money i earn, the more confident i become around everyone especially around girls. It gives me some kind of subconscious feel of "pullback/backup plan", the "safety", in other words in case i fail to get a girl or fuck up anything, i wont feel ashamed because i can go out with my money and get me anything i want within the accepted and satisfied limits of course. Or I can go out with a friend or a girl for a drink or grab some food where i can proudly not only pay with my money for them too, but not worry about not having money + making them feel good because i did a good deed to another human being by paying for them.

On the other hand, if i am broke then i can not possibly talk or be around people like a normal human being. Im awkward. I can not talk to girls normally. I feel like a failure. I am not who i truly am when i am broke. Being broke is my weakness. So i have to do everything i can to.. not be broke. I never brag about anything especially money. I never flex. I think people who have the need to flex something do it because thats the thing they mostly don't have.

People say money is the root of all evil. I dont agree with that. I think money magnifies who people really are. If you are an asshole while you are broke, you will be a bigger asshole when you become rich. If you are a good person when you are broke, you'll be an even better person when you become rich.

Does anyone else feel this way? Is this behavior normal?

This is an instinct stronger than me, what do you think about this.. ideology? whatever its called
They also say money doesn't make you happy but have you ever seen someone frown while riding a waverunner? I haven't.

That happens, usually when someone earns money, it makes them more condifent in themselves and their ability to make even more money.

Sounds about right, funny how we're all wired similarly.

It's very true what you're saying. Money certainly adds a bounce to your step.

Make money, don't live for the money
Having lots of money is like living life in easy mode, you wont have to worry nearly as much as a broke person.

However money does not make you wise, neither does it make you immune to the evils of the world. Also there are indeed many things you cant buy!
I guess I am the only one who disagrees that if you have alot of money that you are confident.

Can you imagine what it's like being raised to have whatever you want, never having to lift a finger and then being pushed through the best swiss boarding schools after of which you instantly have powerful connections and never once being without a boat load of money? Must be freakin nice man.
More money == More Confidence is good

More money == More arrogance, no bueno.

You seem to have the right one though ;)
Money doesn't really affect my confidence at all. Whether I'm doing good or just barely getting by, my confidence is mostly affected by my achievements (or lack thereof) and social life (friends, girlfriend, family, etc.)
Im pretty much just like you.

Thinking of me being broke makes me feel so so bad.

Thats why im working harder the yday.

money gives confidence because you can take more financial risks

also confidence attracts money its all a really simple plan
I have like over 25k$+ (which is not even 1 year salary in our country) and so I don't know if it boosted my confidence or arrogance but surely it made me look on the world differently.

I try to be the same and not show up, i dont really have friends and no one would believe because the way i look and so im high school almost drop out
