Before learning web hacking, I thought I would ask

If I learn web development then after that I could start learning web hacking. At what point in my web development journey will I be able to start learning web hacking?

Like what would a good rule of thumb be for it?
in my opinion there are nothing called rule here
only you who can figure out when you are ready to get into new level of work just take your time learning web development and make some simple projects first then go to new step like creating your own web script a simple one for sure and from here you can go very good with pentesting
If you're interested enough, you'll find a way. No need for any web development experience, although it might help.
People on Reddit are telling me to learn to make websites and then start learning it is why I asked.
When you know the syntax of the language you're coding a website with, and you really understand the code you will be able to exploit the code if you read about different vulnerabilities parallel to your coding course. I think that it will fall in pretty natural after a while.
I mean, if you try to code a vulnerable PHP login page, then you can practice Sqli on that page for example.
It is extremely beneficial to learn web development before. After all, hacking is simply breaking existing logic; how do you expect to do that without understanding the underlying code? Trust me, learn some basics first then try to break it.
Honestly you just have to start digging in it. If you dig long enough, you will gain enough knowledge. This is all about practice.
I just got to know about hacking, can I be like you
