Made my first thread design

How does it look?

I will be easy on words so I'll just say it's not that good.
No symmetry, different font sizes, too many colors, too white.

Edit: I like the first font on the top.
Here are some helpful tips to improve what you got, which isn't too bad for starters:

- Use smaller font sizes.
- Keep consistency with colours, includes all objects, not only text. I would start with a maximum of 2 colours to start
- Make everything smaller. Leave more space on the sides (having an image touch the edges looks ugly)
- Use more distinct separators between sections
- Space things more generally. It all seems too packed and big.
Try a darker theme that fits the HF theme.
It's really good, but i feel like you just used bigger fonts to appear there's more info. But for a first thread design that's really good! Slowly but surely you'll be better.
It looks too basic. That white background it's too simple, you should add something to make it look less empty. Good try tho.
- Shits huge (Icons & Text)
- Nothing draws attention
- Inconsistent Colour Palette
- Quite Boring

Tips:
- Resize most of it
- Maintain Consistency
Honestly it looks better than my first one that's for damn sure. SO glad that you didn't add those non-functional buttons like 90% of the thread designs in the market. There's always room for improvement and your first one is done well.

Things I liked in this design:
  • Honestly, this design looks fine for the service. It's big and bold meaning this dude here means business.
  • Nicely done using pastel colors rather than those blinding colors.
  • Nice font used
  • A design that doesn't follow the trend (non-functional buttons on an image to look like a website)
  • Simple design that gets straight to the point
  • Two color Q&A section was good
Things that can be improved:
  • 2-3 colors should be used
  • Font size can be smaller, preferable use larger text for titles and slightly larger text for important details
  • It's alright to use one font, but it gets boring to look at. Try using 2 fonts in your next one. Check out the fonts at https://fonts.google.com/, they are completely free and check out the sans font family. I recommend checking out Open Sans, it's a pretty big family.
  • A few icons got small blurred sections, and should be a bit smaller.
  • For the separators, you can make a simple black lines that's 50% opacity, or make each section a different color. Like if you had a BW color theme, first section is white, next section is black, and so on.
  • Spacing is key. A design with little to none spacing is already overwhelming to look at, so experiment spacing things out and consistently doing it throughout the whole design.
  • Try to avoid cartoon-ish fonts for the main text, it will make the design less professional looking, but using it for the title is fine.
Try these:
  • If you've done this already, great! If not, check out rulers, gridlines, and the use of small shapes for spacing. I'm going off the assumption that you used Photoshop to make this.
  • If you're not sure about what colors to use, experiment with either the schemes people make here or play around with the color wheel at https://color.adobe.com/explore/?filter=...r&time=all or https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel/.
  • Just like the margins used in papers, try keeping consistent spacing all around the edges of the design. Easy way is to get in the habit of using small shapes for spacing and marking them with rulers.
Overall:
Great job on your first design! To some people, the design looks basic and boring. And to some, it looks eye-catching and very informative. For the service you chose, I think the design looks fine, it could be a little smaller and a white background can definitely be used with the right colors and fonts to match up with it. And the title can be re-worded differently like AGC to BTC or something similar.

I'm eager to see what you create next, so have fun!

Thanks everyone for the feedback, guys.

I will hire a graphic designer for this.
