For a single account no. But if you make hundreds of thousands, selling cracked accounts there would be a possibility.

by researching all email addresses linked to that profile and send them phishes or get in to the email acc. itselfs.

Yes, you can very much get arrested for cracking into anything. But I highly doubt you'd get arrested. Just use a basic VPN (anywhere but the 14 eyes) and try it.


You can also try signing out of Instagram, going to 'Forgotten Password', inputting their username in the field. Click enter and try guessing the email (if there is one). After you think you've got it, try the same as before, but replace their username with the email you think is theirs. If it comes up with an error, it's not theirs, anything else and you've got it. Now you can try other shit like leaked databases & shit.

I mean for one account they probably wouldn't care, just use a VPN (probably one that doesn't log) and go ahead.

If you crack multiple (hundreds to thousands) of accounts then you will get caught and you would face jail time.
