Hey there,

I haven't been on this site for the past 6 ~ 7 months and I noticed my reputation is gone.
I see there are some obvious changes, I still have to figure out what contracts are and what those 'B-ratings' are.

Anyways, I was wondering if in the past half year or so there has been a hard-reset of the reputation system.

I notice that a lot of people that interacted with older posts of mine also all have 0 reputation (few exceptions ofcourse).

I'm not making this thread to beg for reputation (which appearantly is not against the rules anymore lol), but I'm geniunely wondering if there was a reset.

Also I don't see a dedicated place to ask questions like this (maybe Rules, Announcements, News, and Feedback dunno, there used to be place for ub3rs to ask questions somewhere).

Yeah, there was a reset. Rep is now canned and is worthless more than ever before.

Yeah man, it reset. You can ask for rep now as well, it's pretty much useless. They switched to a market rep system. You have to open a contract if you buy anything from anyone. Then they can rep you on your B Rating. Normal rep doesn't mean too much anymore.

Well you can also pretty much buy rep with Bytes also, so I mean it's nothing to be proud about anymore, it's just a number now, but B-Ratings are the more important rep, since you HAVE to use a contract now.

Well you can also pretty much buy rep with Bytes also, so I mean it's nothing to be proud about anymore, it's just a number now, but B-Ratings are the more important rep, since you HAVE to use a contract now.

I do understand that they created the B-Ratings system with the contracts, it's simply there so people can instantly see how thrustworthy of a marketplace user you are. The old reputation system kinda gave a false sense of securirty since you had to pro-actively check a user's reputation before doing a deal with them. Now you instantly see it.
It's just a bit meh to see the old reputation system got removed and replaced by "Popularity". I don't think that was necessary, but my opinion on it doesn't really matter. Luckily I didn't lose too much rep anyways, I believe I had somewhere between +400 and +700

Yep. Also if you don't like any changes, don't go to Omni for it, just keep it to yourself, it'll help you out in the long run, trust me.
