Investing as a teenager

Hello it's my senior year in high school and I'm thinking about investing in the marketing, but not sure where to start or even what stock market is. Heck, I don't know what is it good to invest in nowadays. So I thought of asking the hackforums community since most people here have probably invested in the market and could help me out with it. Thank you. ✌

Are you planning to go to college? Invest in that rather than having a massive debt.

Are you talking about where to invest your disposable income? Do you have an emergency fund already?

You are starting with the wrong foot, you are looking to invest money while you still don't know what the stock market is? If that's the field you want to go in, then there is PLENTY of FREE material on youtube, just find somebody and stick to him, use it as a mentor and trade with a demo account for a year as a hobby, start saving up to at least +2000$ and then split your capital in 3 or 4 parts because you will likely blow your first 2 real accounts so use that as a tuition fee to learn from your mistakes and with your 1000$ left go back with another mindset...

All the best.
If you have not looked into blockchain/bitcoin/cryptocurrencies then do a lot of research on it and decide if it's an investment you would like to take on.

In my opinion the ROI will be WAY more over the next 10 years, even the next 3-5 years.

The fundamentals of investing apply in every market, if you're just starting out the first thing to do is research portfolio management, cycles a market will go through, etc.

Immerse yourself.
i found ToS by TD ameritrade, is a great software to learn off of.

How much are you looking to invest?

Stock trading is pretty difficult for newbies to make good turnarounds on, and you can lose money insanely fast. Lots of investors actively research the companies they are investing in, and are often doing this full time. Cryptocurrency trading can still be of value, but it was much better years ago, now there are too many shitcoins that fluctuate so fast you can lose everything in a single day.

If you are investing a fair amount, I'd recommend looking for a reputable stockbroker around you. They will invest on your behalf, and often will keep you in the green, all without you having to do too much. I know its not as sexy sounding, but that will likely do you so much better.

Have any suggestions or video where to start on CryptoCurrency?
I was in your position a year or two ago.

Not sure what figures we are talking about, but if your $100 turned into $1000 would it really matter? Why not take that money and spend it on a course or certification? It would give you a far better ROI.

If you’re adamant on “investing” then just park it in a HISA assuming you are going to require those funds within a few years.
