Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe most of us aren't selling the product/exchanging anymore if the thread is closed. Yet, I still get PM's about really old exchange requests that have the thread closed 😅

Thread is closed = Don't PM.

That being said, does anyone still offer the product/exchange when their thread is closed? I don't see how certain members are getting these bad habits.

Mainly only have a problem with this when it comes to exchange threads and threads that are 4 years old.

Like if I closed the thread for x product in 2014 why would I still have some in stock?

Mostly members who aren't upgraded (18-19) and L33T (17-19). Hardly ever have older members commit this sin.

What sucks is that every thread (personally) normally gets 2-4 PM's DAYS-WEEKS after the thread was closed.

I guess maybe before closing your thread, add something to the title like "[CLOSED]". Or add it to the ones you're still receiving PMs on.

As you can't wipe thread content, just before the original text, add something like 'NO LONGER SELLING' in bold red letters. There will be still some members PMing you but you'll keep the numbers down.
