So I couldn't find a section for books, so please forgive me if I've put this in the wrong section.
I'm looking for good book to read. Something sci-fi maybe. Or something that really makes you think.
Any suggestions?
Normal is an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.
Respect the psychedelic.

Have you tried Ammonite?
"Winner of the Lambda and Tiptree Awards • “A knockout . . . Strong, likable characters, a compelling story, and a very interesting take on gender.”—Ursula K. Le Guin
Change or die. These are the only options available on planet Jeep. Centuries earlier, a deadly virus shattered the original colony, killing the men and forever altering the few surviving women. Now, generations after the colony lost touch with the rest of humanity, a company arrives to exploit Jeep—and its forces find themselves fighting for their lives. Terrified of spreading the virus, the company abandons its employees, leaving them afraid and isolated from the natives. In the face of this crisis, anthropologist Marghe Taishan arrives to test a new vaccine. As she risks death to uncover the women’s biological secret, she finds that she too is changing—and realizes that not only has she found a home on Jeep, but that she alone carries the seeds of its destruction. . . . "

Read Zero to One, by Peter Thiel.
Not sci-fi but I saw you post about some spiritual stuff in another thread, and I highly HIGHLY recommend reading 'autobiography of a yogi' by Paramhansa Yogananda.
I personally love SciFi as well, and some of my favorites that also make you think a lot are The Swarm (Frank Schätzing), The Deep (Nick Cutter), Sphere (Michael Crichton), Deep Storm (Lincoln Child).

One of my favourite books in terms of self reflection and personal development is "Principles: Life and Work" by Ray Dalio.
I also really enjoyed "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari, which describes the development of our current civilization, gives you a very "macro" perspective of society today. It's followed by "Homo Deus" which explores the future of our civilization, such as google perhaps being better suited at voting for elections than ourselves.
"Why nations fail" by Daron Acemoglu & James Robinson is a great introduction to understanding why some nations succeed while others fail, a more popular scientific introduction to Development Economics, or just development in general. It was part of my senior year curriculum in mathematical economics, to introduce people to the subject and nudge people to specializing their graduate degree in development economics.
"Finance and the Good Society" by Robert Shiller is an excellent introduction to how much efficiency, wealth and democratization of capitalism that the financial system has brought of. A lot of which we take for granted in the constant stream of financial sector criticism.
I'm currently reading the book: outliers, and so far It's pretty mind blowing
If you like sci-fi (and hacker stuff), nothing tops Neal Stephenson. I'd recommend 'Cryptonomicon' or 'Snow Crash' as a first go, then you'll want to read everything else he has ever written.
When fountainhead gets unbanned I'd recommend asking him. He runs a little book club in Wolfpack. He reads like mad though.

I recently read Two Brothers by Ben Elton and it was the best read I have had in years, absolutely phenomenal. It's about two brothers growing up at the start of the Nazi movement in 1920. It follows their lives through to 1956 and builds memorable characters and moments along the way.
If you're looking for something a little shorter, try my last read, Into the Water by Paula Hawkins (author of the Girl on the Train). It's full of twists and turns and short chapters keep the pages turning.
rich dad, poor dad! It's one of those classics.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, The Martian, any Tom Clancy novel, the Redwall series of novels, Silver Lining's Playbook.
Not all sci-fi but I figured I'd list some of my favourites. I used to read a lot and at one point had a library in my house with around 150~ books.

I would recommend you to give some love to the ender's game series, you would not regret it.
I read JP's book, 12 rules for life. It was nice if you really like philosophical stuff
