whether or not the person sitting next to you knows this
there are others you’ve yet to meet
who are going to need you here
your impact shatters to the ground beneath to what seems
is only violating the surface
a subtle scratch in the painting
chipping away at the chip on the canvassed shoulder
they cry out their eyes out
but the birds still chirp away
cheering for you, you, your best, do
while still here
in flesh unstill
time runs through us short, hereditary
fly, fly on by
bye bye aviary, i am caged in
no more, i fly on to never land
where dreams meet before shaking hands
becoming more than what meets the eye of neverland
is it reality
is it a world dreamt
to see all struggle to reach theirs, to succeed
to achieve what was meant
not mine
not my luck
not to see his face on that cover
to see theirs oh so bright
blinding is to look in, beaming
all eyes of white, purely light

I like that man. I wrote a poem in 2014 called Stargazing 2014. It was for extra credit in one of my classes. I just had to throw something together real quick. It took about 5 minutes, but I wanted to refine it in gold. I was getting into it but had to be in class in like 10 minutes. All I know is I got some extra credit and it looked good to my teacher.

Lol Thank you man. I thought it was pretty tight, especially for 5 minutes and late for class. I love writing, I just haven't really sat down and done it.
