When you've opened a contract, and want to open again, you get a big error until the first contract expires.
This is very confusing, especially for those who aren't familiar with the contract system.
I ran into this couple of times myself and even reported this to the sellers as their contract link was broken, because that was what I thought caused this issue.

The error occurs in many situations:

1. A sales thread with multiple contract links: you click one, and then try to click the other one after that.

2. Looks like if you've an open contract with someone and want to open a new contract for a complete seperate product from the service, you get the error as well.

3. If you've opened a contract to buy something a few hours, or days ago, and forgot.

I don't have this issue, i only noticed that you need to complete your first contract before you can make a second one with the same user.

Hey, personally I have not run into any errors like this.
Could it be that you are trying to open a contract with someone that may already have one open with you?
I've had active contracts open at the same time before, but they were with different users. It doesn't work with the same user until the first contract is marked complete to prevent abuse, from my understanding. I could be wrong though.
