How many members use Telegram? I'm trying to figure out if integrating Telegram for a chat is a potential benefit. Discord is a risk because they close channels while Telegram would likely not do so.

Telegram is an awesome app. How would it work integrating it with HF?
I have used it in the past, I am open to a HF Telegram. Shame more people just dont get XMPP.
Telegram chat is not smooth as Discord, I never prefer Telegram if there is a Discord
Am I the only one who doesnt use Skype/Disc/Telegram?
RENT THIS SIGNATURE SPACE CAUSE I NEED BYTES TO GAMBLE WITH
I support Telegram over Discord any day.

Still rocking that BBM 😏 ?
I use Telegram more than Discord. Discord is more popular among teenagers, but Telegram is definitely more popular for the older demographic.
Telegram is 100% better.
I actually think we'd see some old faces start coming around more as well. I have a few friends from back in the day here who have "outgrown" forums but still actively use Telegram with me, and who I'm sure would participate in an HF Telegram.

telegram is so secure, i'll join if you make a group.
I don't really use Telegram. From what I can tell it's more used in Europe/Asia than in North America.
Literally 99% of HF members use Discord though so I really think it's the best option.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.

I haven’t recently but have before and would use it again if it workers with hackforums
I think telegram is amazing I use it myself and from what I've heard it's pretty secure
I think a HF group chat would be a good option

XMPP itself is just a protocol. It is all the code developed around that protocol that can make it very useful. Services like Telegram/Discord don't use XMPP but theoretically they could and front-end users might be none the wiser.
