Bought coding services expecting 48-72 hrs delivery. Sent 50% via PayPal which he refunded since he said PayPal wouldn’t let him withdraw to his bank account anytime soon since he was using a burner PayPal. We try to figure out other payment methods but I don’t have enough time so he suggests sending $100 upfront and he’ll complete the project. I agree, and when I send it his PayPal gets limited and he loses access to the funds on his fake PayPal. Wastes about a day on figuring it out with PayPal but ultimately fails. I feel bad and agree to send him $50 BTC later on during the project depending how it goes (no obligation to since I already sent $100 from my side). He pesters me for the next 1-2 days to send it. I told him I’ll send it and I don’t want to waste any more time dealing with transactions since it’s already been 2 days and he’s been having issues with transactions. Part of the deal was to give me the all the files (including source code) for the project which he fails to deliver on, saying he’ll send it the next day and he forgot to the night before. He then makes excuses that he lost internet connection so wasn’t online (Discord said he was online & he was active on HF). Proceeds to ignore my further messages.
I have not received ANY files since he ‘started development work’. Lost $150 in the process (my fault for trusting a sketch member in the first place).
