Is 100k enough from a IT sector company?

1) What do you think is it enough salary around 100k+ (annually) from a job - IT sector company?
I want your opinion.
2) how much do you make from your job?
That depends on cost of living, region, etc. If you’re living in the bay your salary better be higher than doing an equivalent job in the Midwest

California living costs and apartment renting is not more than 40k and 20k for foods and others.
As php said, this would depends on a bunch of factors.

A freshly graduated CS student with nothing but a degree and shitty front end experience can only dream about 100k a year, but a skilled, senior back-ender should expect well over 100k

I think thats a good salary for the IT sector...
A software engineer vs a DevOps or a full stack is going to be making different salaries so you need to be specific.

Just because you work in IT, doesn’t mean you’re making bank.

Depends where you are living buddy boyo
It depends on what kind of venture you are trying to pursue. If you have a really unique idea, it may be a good idea to use that money to develop a prototype and get VCs to fund you.

There are a variety of IT roles in a company. Depending on what you do and where you live dramatically changes the number. 100,000 may be a lot to someone if they are a help desk role versus someone who is a project manager for a multi-million dollar project.

I am not going to disclose my income but for me, it leaves me comfortable. More money is always nice but I am happy and I know a lot of my friends coming out of college struggle to get the amount I am getting let alone a job.

It is decent, but definitely far from the best.
