No I'd say he was right, you've been given the password, fucking with things isn't going to earn you any trust points is it?

The real skill would be using airmon-ng airodump-ng and aircrack-ng to capture packets and crack the password with a wordlist. Again though, trust. Why would you want to monitor your girls network?

But have you ever heard of google? You should try to do your own research first, and come here only if you don't find what you need.
