I think alot of the negative notions associated with homosexuality in different sections of the world can be traced back to a few events. A while back the Russian government put out propoganda about homosexuality and made attempts to associate them with zoophelia. In Uganda homosexuality wasn't originally viewed negatively until Western influence. I don't happen to be gay but at least where I'm from gay doesn't necessarily refer to something bad when used outside of insults. For example, Joe rogan has a bit out this which I think is accurate. Something can be gay without being good or bad, some things are just gay. Like wrestling, plays, glitter. They aren't good or bad they just have a gay feeling to them. And plenty of straight guys like a few gay things. Like Coldplay.
