I lost access to my instagram account

I don't have access to the phone and phone number i used to make/use my instagram account with, i have my username and password though...

It says "suspicious login attempt" when i tried to sign in through instagram website...

It's been about 8 months since i lost access to my account...

I owned the phone, not the phone number... the owner is an old friend of mine, who's unwilling to help me out of this damn situation... we're in a bad relation...

Look, i don't have an smartphone, but i have Bluestacks (An Android Emulator) installed on my computer, and i also can use web browsers, that's all.

Instagram help center sucks...

I know, is there any solution?
Do you have the access to the email you used to register?
you can simply ticket to facebook and say that your account has taken over

You can try this option, but you have to be totally honest, and give as much proof as possible that you own the account. Better yet, if you linked a Facebook account with your Instagram, all the better -- they'd see this as a good bet you own it.

Another option is to get your old number from your service provider, move it to another SIM card, hence another phone (Better yet switch to a soft phone lol). Things should be more effective that way, and you'd find that you won't have to go through the tedious process of talking to Facebook directly.
It's ur own fault and not instagrams why did you have such a shady setup anyways?
Why did you have such a shitty setup in the first place, at least you learned something now
