Anyone else think that Lil Nas X is way overrated?
I mean his Old Town Road song is okay but really not that great. I think his attention for trying to be a cowboy and do country is the reason why anyone even knows the song at all. Not because it's any good.
The kid is super gay with his girly body chest hanging out of his yellow leather jacket. Ridiculous.
I think Lil Nas X grew up listening to the Village People.
This guy covered the beat and did a much better job in my opinion:
But Lil Nas X is a gay country(ish) rapper who more than likely will be a one hit wonder kind of deal. Who blew up because he was the "different" thing at the time.
I don't think people are fans of Lil Nas X because of his music. I think 100% of the non-children who like him are simply fans of him because of his twitter lol.

Ugh, his Twitter is boring.

He's very smart. He memes his twitter so his likes are through the roof and remixes the same song. Panini isn't that bad either. Old town road is a huge hit because of the memes on it as well. Also he confirmed himself that he is gay.

I heard old town road back when everyone memed it so I couldn't really take the song seriously when people started bumping this in parties. Honestly, it's not that good anyway.
The only reason it was popular was because it was different at that time and it eventually became a meme. People who listen to it unironically are simply trend followers, just like every battle royal today.

I don't like hiphop/rap scene, but i gotta give props to him and his team for making it the #1 Billboard chart hit for the 15th week in a row and it's about to break the record for the most weeks spent at #1 in the last 5 or 6 decades. The kid knows the beat is simple and the news that were going around is that he bought the beat from a random site. The original track was at #1 in country chart, but then it got removed as "it wasn't country enough" then the week after he released the one featuring billy.
