Introduction
In this thread i will be covering how to use CATT to scan a network for Chromecasts and then cast multiple sources of media to that Chromecast
What Will I Need For This?
[+] A machine running a linux distro or a Virtual machine.
[+] A Google Chromecast
[+] And a network you have permission to test this on.

What Is CATT?
CATT (Cast all the things) is an easy to install and easy to work with way of controlling any Chromecast on a network you are connected too. IOT (Internet of things) devices like these are often insecure and will accept commands from any one on the network.

How To Hijack And Cast media to a Chromecast
The first thing we are going to need to do is boot into our Linux machine or virtual machine. I will be using Kali Linux for this. Next we need too install CATT we can do that by using this command.
[+] pip install catt
Once ran this should install CATT. I ran into some python errors when i installed CATT using this command. If you run into errors like i did use this command instead and it should fix any issues.
[+] pip3 install catt

Once we have ran that command CATT is installed and we can now search for Chromecasts on our network to do this we run the command
[+] catt scan

So now we can see there is a Chromecast on our network and we can attempt to hijack this and cast some media too it. For this example i will be casting a standard YouTube video to the Chromecast but there are many sources you can cast to a Chromecast you can find a list of sites here i will also go over commands to cast websites images and gifs below.
To cast a YouTube video to a Chromecast we simply type
[+] catt cast https://www.youtube.com/yourvideourlhere
And press Enter. It looks something like this

Here is a video of what the user using the Chromecast will see once we enter this command or what would happen to the Chromecasts in a building once we run this command.

Along with that command we have a list of other commands we can use we can view these by using the command
[+] catt -h
Spoiler (Click to View)
By typing CATT followed by any of the commands on the help sheet we can execute them for example
[+] catt play
Now i will go over how to cast other sources of media to a Chromecast.
To cast a gif we will use
[+] catt cast /root/Desktop/your.gif
same applies for an image we would use
[+] catt cast /root/Desktop/your.jpg
To cast a website to our Chromecast we would use the command
[+] catt cast_site https://hackforums.net
If you have followed along with this thread you have easily and successfully hijacked and cast media to a Chromecast on your network
