C pointer tutorial

What is a pointer? A pointer is a point in time and space which points to another point in time and space. This time and space is very malleable, it's easily corrupted and destructive. When not used with caution, pointers can create irreversible catastrophes and wide spread fear. But in the right hands a pointer can point to things that point to better things because those things are good things. And not all good things are great things but some great things are amazing. And when a pointer points to something amazing, that's when you truly understand what a pointer is. So a pointer isn't what is or isn't..it's about what it points to and what it points to can be anything you want. The possibilities are endless because void pointer.

I'll post my structs tutorial next week. Leave feedback.
Incredibly inaccurate.

Please correct your facts and keep this on topic.

Pointers are not complex. They are simple.
Is there any such thing as a woman of honor, and sincerity?

....... ❓ ????

A pointer simply is an object that hold memory address of a chunk in memory. can be dereferenced to read the content of that memory.
I feel like there are a lot of confusing responses here, but my two favorite resources for this subject are the following two links. Read them through and hopefully they will clear up any confusion.

Pointers are supposed to be simple, you're overcomplicating them.
I think the confusion regarding pointers comes from a weak understanding of the "fundamentals."

My first introduction to programming was a course in C where we learned a great deal about pointers. We were tasked with iterating through arrays using pointer arithmetic, casting pointers to and from void, and so on. It is entirely possible for anyone that's committed to learn about pointers. I'd highly advise that every C programmer learn them as they're fundamental. In addition, lacking an understanding of them limits your ability to build feature-rich programs.

Best of luck.
I find it hilarious that no one thought this was absolute sarcasm. It shows the expectations people have of HF users.

Post was a obvious troll but on a side note please add P.S or something like that people tend to take things serious without right context

Sure let's go with that.
