I was having a discussion with a rando in a foodcourt today about how he realised that he almost never writes anything by hand anymore.

I got to thinking, well damn... I'm the same. Unless I'm filling out a form, I'm almost never using a pen or pencil to do anything.

I still write by hand daily is the au do they teach you guys growing up to write in cursive ?
My family growing up is not being taught how to write in cursive any more.
I dont know if its just my state or the whole country but I think that is wild !
How would some one sign somthing ? And to be honest I dont think I could write
the whole alphabet in cursive from not using it so long.

That is wild tho I do feel like there is a big percentage of people who dont write compared to how there use to be.
The future generations are going to have terrible hand writing.

We do joint writing when we're first allowed to use pens at school. I dropped it though, just turned into me doing chicken scratch and being the only one to comprehend my own writing.

I scribble business plans on my iPad but I don't think that really counts as handwriting in the sense that I'm still not using a pen and paper. Electronic gang.

I jsut don't have a necessity to do it in that way anymore.

I do, on a daily basis. I try to use pen and paper more than the phone, tablet or laptop. For example, writing schedules, grocerys lists, etc...

Do you think people will lose the ability to write in the future? I think it won't happen in the near future as long as the school system doesn't replace the handwriting by typing on a device. Honestly, that would be a shame.

The only time I use a pen is for birthday/Christmas cards haha. My handwriting is awful!
