Hey fellow pen testers
I am in need of a little advice regarding the ALFA AWUS036NHA.
As you may know or not the usb cable that it is provided with out the box is a very small 1.5.
So i am limited in certain areas of my location and wish to extend the Wifi adapter through buying a length usb cable of the same type .
After a search on amazon i was presented with the following cable reassuring that it would be compatible with the ALFA AWUS036NHA and other wifi adapters, however i could not find any reviews that confirm this t be the case.
So i ask anyone here if they to have been in the same situation or used a extension cable with the ALFA AWUS036NHA .
i presume any cable with the same connections should suffice, but i am not to sure myself. this is why i am here asking has anybody used either the following on amazon
Alfa 5m (16.4 feet) High Performance Mini USB Cable, can be uses for any mini USB Device and For AWUS036H, AWUS036NH, AWUS051NH, AWUS036NHA and AWUS036NHR
or any normal standard USB extension cable .
Also is there is drop off with length. as in the longer the cable the more of a drop off in connection power you loose edt as i have had a similar issue with long USB cables before and found that the longer the cable the less power i got through it.
But any hows , any advice would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks.
