So this must be a very dumb question but how do I make this button on a thread?
One that will direct buyers to a contract with me regarding the same thread?

You actually don't need to do anything. For example, when you make a thread on CE section, the "Start Contract" corresponding to your thread is auto created. But, you can find more details here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5933568
