So I finally got around to cleaning a problematic computer at work. I wanted to upgrade to an SSD and noticed a shit ton of storage just full. I didn't see any obvious programs in downloads or something like that to take up the space. I decided to use CCleaner to see if anything extra was left over. Mind you this computer hasn't been cleaned since its deployment back in 2011. Needless to say, I have for the first time discovered over 200GB of crap SO FAR, I cancelled it midway, in the temp folder. I ended up cloning to the SSD after the removal of the first 100GB of crap. Now I'm finishing it up since the SSD is so much faster than the old hard drive we had in there.
So my question to you is simple, what is the largest amount of free'd up storage you have had cleaned by CCleaner? Did you ever have anything over 100GB of crap in a TEMP folder?
