NEED URGENT VOTE ON THIS POLL

TLDR i live in a ~500,000$ USD house with my parents for over 20 years and my parents are in a bank credit debt of 6 figures USD for 10 years. We came to the point of barely managing to pay monthly debt of $600 in a country where the average salary is $200 a month. We would have to pay this monthly until the year 2024. I want to invest into my future but this is fucking my life up. My dad too cause hes mostly paying for this debt.

We found a buyer after 10 years to buy our backyard, which means the buyer wants to destroy the backyard and build his own house there for 6 figures USD which is going to cover up the bank credit debt and all other loans while leaving 5 figures USD leftover for me to finally buy a small car and learn to drive (im 22) and invest into my stuff.

if they build the house there then I'd wake up every day starring in a wall. It would be depressing to live with that for the rest of my life. This is a very hard decision to make and weve been trying to decide for days. We have deadline to decide until monday or the buyer is gonna back off.

We are also waiting for the court since 2018 to pay us 5 figures USD since we sued somebody who broke a contract (irrelevant details) but that could pay the bank credit debt and we won't have to sell the backyard. But the problem with this is we've been waiting for over a year now and we dont know how long to wait for this to be resolved. if we wait too long my dad wont be in the position to pay monthly this debt anymore and the executors will take our house away and we'll be left homeless and basically threw away those ~120k$ we paid for the debt by now For nothing in return.

I dont want to work a job until 2024 just so i can help my dad throw all money into this debt instead of investing into my future....

This is a very hard decision to make and i need your help by voting on this poll. When you vote what is the best thing to do please reply to this thread with strong reasons why do you think that. Thank you
You don't need the back yard, but what you do need is money.
So, I voted Yes, sell the yard!
You'll regret it in my future. No other option at all?

We wanted to sell the whole house but no one had the money to buy it so we found someone who wants to buy only the backyard for less amount while leaving the house to us. Over 20 years living here we got attached to the house and backyard which is why its hard to decide. Other options would be me working a job as a software engineer since i'm (hopefully) gonna graduate in 2020 with BSc but imagine throwing all of that hard earned money into fire every month... into debt... how am i supposed to progress?

I am coding mobile apps these days to try and earn money off the ads but it's extremely difficult and takes months and months and years of time...

It's not for nothing. You keep your house and your backyard which is a lot! After that is done just start saving while already having the house and no debt.
Unless I didn't understand your situation correctly?

Think about the big picture, this will solve the money problem almost inmediately so you can work on your own skills... Later you can own as many backyards as you want, 3 or 4 if necessary. So I vote for selling it.
Working towards earning a $500k house isn't burning money...

Definitely agree with this. It sucks, but you do need the money.
Would you rather wake up and stare at a wall inside your nice room, or be homeless? The answer is pretty obvious.
Idk where you're from that you have a $500k house on a monthly income of like $200/average (wtf) but court systems usually take a long time to finish what they start. I wouldn't count on that money in time.
Do you make money with your backyard? Or do anything with it? If no then better sell it. There are other people in the world who are looking for some ground to live on and might have the money for it but finding one might be hard. So you are doing something good by helping someone and you would have a lot of money which you can use to support yourself and your family and maybe also your future family.

So I voted for yes fuck the backyard 🤝

sell bacckyoad and rent space out
Yeah, your options are really either sell the backyard, and you don't like your view, or go homeless. That should be a no brainer to decide on that.
