Hey guys,
lately i've been wondering whether or not it's possible to play the more stable crypto markets like DOGE/BTC by automating the process of creating alternating flipping orders once your latest order has been filled. Therefore i've decided to write a simple python script which does exactly this. It places an initial buy- or sell-order at a certain price and then alternatingly creates new buy/sell-orders once your latest order has been filled.
During the last few days i've been testing the script on binance on the DOGE/BTC trading pair and thus far results aren't to bad.
It made approximately 7% over the course of 3 days.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Very nice work 👍 , have you tried it with other pairs or decreasing the wait time between orders?

The wait time between orders is not really a parameter you can infulence much, because it is dependent on the current price movement and the latest order you have placed. E.g. if you placed a sell order for DOGE at 29 satoshis, but DOGE price in sats decides to pump a lot, the script won't take any actions until your latest order has been filled or you cancel the order manually.

Thanks a lot for the tip Focus Broken, i didn't know that. I'll defenitely look in their APIs and see whether i can simply adjust my script.

PS: If enough people are interested, i'll might open a thread where i'll offer the script for a few bucks. But that depends on you guys. And if you are interested, please let me know what you think would be an appropriate fair price.
Looks promising, if you're going to sell it I might be interested.

Little update,
i'm now experimenting with running multiple instances of the script on multiple binance accounts at the same time.
I've further more added e-mail notifications so that you will get an email whenever one of your orders has been filled and a new one has been placed.
Here's the example content of one of those emails:
Now let's have a look and see how the script performs.

Seems interesting and promising as well! would stay tune to your updates!

Hey guys, here is another quick update on my script.
After a few more weeks/month of testing, i'm finally at a point where i'm happy with how the script performs. It wans't super difficult to get there, but i was a time consuming process of testing different markets (DOGE/BTC, ETH/BTC, USDT/BTC etc.), settings and strategies (e.g. how much profit i'd like to make per trade cycle (one trade cycle = one buy action and the corresponding sell action)).
I'll list the main takeaways from my testing experiences below:
1. As initially assumed, the script performs best when used on low to medium volatility markets. When used on high volatility markets you will most likely end up holding bags for a while.
2. The script performs best when you are running multiple instances of it in parallel (at least 3, better 4 to 6).
Depending on the market you choose, each instance should cover a 2 - 4% deviation within a range of 6 - 20% in regards to current trading conditions. Let me explain this by showing you an example setup: e.g. instance 1 covers 0 to +3% of current trading conditions, instance 2 covers 0 to -3% of the current trading conditions, script 3 covers +3 to +6% of the current trading conditions, script 4 covers -3 to -6% of the current trading conditions and so forth. This means that only one of your instances will be trading at a certain time, but no matter in which direction the market moves, you will always have an instance ready to trade. An this is extremely important, because this script isn't relying on the market to go up or down, but instead only focuses on getting as many alternating trade cycles complete as possible, because that's how we can make a profit.
3. Don't worry if your running instances aren't trading for a day or two. There might just not be enough trading volume going on and your orders haven't been filled yet or the market is currently out of the boundaries we considered during setup. Either way, don't worry and take a break. If things haven't gone back to normal after a few days consider redoing your setup with the current trading prices in mind.
4. Do NOT redadjust your setup over and over again just because the markets have been pumping +5% during the day. They will most likely correct themselves within a few days and if they don't, then you are still able to readjust your setup!
With these settings in mind you can make a decent profit using this script. For example have a look at the picture below.
During the last three days the script completed 5 trade cycles (another 3 are open at the moment). Each trade cycle corresponds to a profit of roughly 3,5%. Giving us a total profit of almost 17,5%. In just a couple of days.

Hi folks,
i feel like it's time to step up the testing game a bit.
Because of that i've bought some DOGE earlier today (just a little over 3.5 million, worth exactly 1 BTC) which i'm going to test the bot with.

I'm going to run four instances in parallel. Let's see how this goes. I'll keep you updated.

Hey guys, here is another short update.
As described in my latest post I've been running four instances of my trading script in parallel with a total of 1 BTC worth of DOGE spread across four accounts since the 25th of march. Unluckily the trading volumes of the BTC/DOGE pair haven't been great during the last three weeks on binance. Nonetheless the scripts still have executed a few trades. At the moment the total profit comes down to 0.02956701 BTC, which equates to roughly 200 USD.
Here are the order histories of two accounts (only two out of four instances have executed orders yet).

Hopefully the trading volume will increase a bit within the next few weeks. I'll keep you updated.

Your script looks pretty dope, nice profits.
Nice algorithm, which exchange site are you using to execute these trades? Are you using API calls?

Very interesting read! Posting to follow your progress.

At the moment i'm using binance.com. I'll might try different exchanges in the future though, because there are ones with lower maker/trader fees than binance.

Yes, i'm using the binance API to post and track orders.
