UPDATE: Owner blocked me after proving him wrong
First let me start off with saying that I may be wrong here, but I genuinely believe something sketchy is going on and want to warn people ahead of time.
What is Fifty-Fifty casino?
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6009725
They claim to be a provably fair PvP site with 0% fees, a faucet, and even player vs house.
What's sketchy about it?
The owner claims that they are doing this to the community, but attacks you in a very condescending way and will mock you if you ask any questions in regards to their business model or long term site goal.
They're also not provably fair. Reference user "RUMRUN"'s posts on the thread to read more into technical detail.
How exactly does the site make money?
It doesn't.
They have 0% fees
They have house based coinflips (with 0% edge) meaning they risk their own Bankroll as well
They have a faucet, giving out free money
They have no ads
They spend dozens if not hundreds of house coding the site and system that's in place.
What do I see here?
A scheme to get as many users on the site as possible by creating some sort of haven (I.e no fees, no ads, house games, free money)
Followed by a period of insolvency and running off with the users deposits.
The creator of the site won a lot on Bustabit (is a gambler himself) could've lost it somewhere else and just needs a quick scheme to get his money back.
Summary :
I typically wouldn't be sketched out by something like this as it's not a really large scale project and it's possible someone has the genuine drive to just have a cool service for the community, if it weren't for how condescending and sketchy the owners history + mannerisms are when talking about the site and what they are.
Please be careful, I'm not saying never use it, but be cautious and I'd highly advice against using larger amounts here unless 20 years down the line they're proven still running and fully solvent.
Let me also mention the site they're running isn't licensed out of anywhere, not curacao, isle of man, etc.
It's quite literally an illegal operation by law anywhere.
My thread contains a lot of assumptions and speculations, but factually they're running an illegal unlicensed site. At the very least keep this in mind before betting there.

Thanks for posting this thread..
I was thinking of doing the same thing as they keep bumping their thread..
They should be removed..
My response to them:
If the code isnt open source..
And the servers for the website are run by you..
I could build the same thing and add code that takes advantage of users..
Why would I use you guys?
Use the decentralised ecosystem that is being built..
Be opensource and decentralised like everyone else..
Why do you guys think your soo special?
You are not cryptocurrency..

First of all, thanks for making this post. I feel that if people are concerned they have the right to speak about it. My job is to remove the doubts so I want to reply to your doubts in small steps.

We do not mind if people ask what our business model is. But if you CLAIM that we are a fraud before actually knowing us you might not got the desired reply. Its by far the most asked question and we explained in the main thread WHY and HOW we are doing this.

Alright I am trying this in bold red letters since sooooo many people keep saying this non-sense. Our RNG is 100% provable, uninfluencable fair. Please read this: http://fifty-fifty.casino/RNG . THERE IS NOT A SINGLE DOUBT ABOUT THIS. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT PLEASE ASK SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT: HASHING, HMAC, SHA-512, SHA-256, HEX2DEC is as someone who claims that our RNG is not fair clearly does not understand.

Where do we say that we need money? Again, the only costs is server-costs. We are not working full-time on this. So we dont need a salary from this. Hopefully in the future, donations will help us cover the server-costs.

The PvH mode is limited and is made for the people to actually do something as they wait. The max bet is 0.20$ per bet plus we have hourly limits plus we have a total balance limit. Its amazing how long you can do with a small balance if the max bet amount is 0.20$.

50 satoshi...

Time will prove. We are not going anywhere.

Because a license would costs around 30.000$ and I do not think you will be the generous giver of that 30.000$ ;) Plus we would only need a license if we accepted fiat currencies. So absolutely no need for it now. The majority of the BTC gambling sites dont have licenses.
Hopefully every question has been answered. If there are still questions, feel free to either send me a PM or simply reply here and I will be glad to answer your questions.
Finally, i was wondering when other casino owners would start taking action. :)
Indeed a lot of assumptions.. And using RUMRUN as a reliable source.. 😧
Let me explain myself,
To start off our RNG is 100% provably fair, and saying its not is like saying the earth is flat..
Our expenses at the moment are above 1000$ this means that we have to atleast scam 100 users because we have a 10$ limit.
The way we see it we will never be able to outsource the costs with a "exit scam" or stealing from our users.
I get it, it looks to good to be true but i hope time and effort from our side will eventually change your mind.
I haven't gambled online before(did went to an irl casino a few times) and never been on the bustabit site.. So no this is not a way to make up for our losses.
To give you are more broad perspective: We would like to create a free self-sustainable gambling platform, where gamblers are not been taken advantage of. To realize this we hope the donation tab will be enough to cover the site's hosting expenses, if not we will add advertisements later on. If that is not enough we will add donation-stimulants etc, but the core idea/concept that gambling should be free of charge will always remain!
Yes we are currently unlicensed and we will add IP blockers to the countries in where gambling is prohibited. After that we will be 100% legal but unlicensed. :)

It's trivial if the Faucet is 50 satoshi or 500.
It's a free amount you're giving out in which the site is proven to be running at a defecit.
Also, WRONG! A license is not $30,000
You're probably talking about a MASTER LICENSE from curacao which is a complete overkill and not what you would need.
You would need a sublicense under a master liscense holder, which is determined by the master holders prices.
Typically this is around $5K upfront depending who you go under , not $30k.
"The majority of BTC Gambling sites dont have licences"
Nice argumentum ad populum fallacy. Cause the majority do it you're making an appeal to that?
Is that your argument? That the majority of sites don't (Which isn't true, almost every large and actually trusted site does, i.e bustabit, stake, list goes on)

To clear this up. The only argument you have is that our casino is not licensed. We are a non-profit casino and thus not investing such amount. If someone is so generous to donate us a license we will be happy to use it.
I will create a new thread tonight where I will clarify everything. Including why we have no license, why we have Player vs House and why we have free faucets and not go broke.
Oh and to clear one last thing up: No one in our team is a gambler. No one ever gambled online.

- Illegal site to run , unliscensed.
- No business model, Likely a scam scheme
- No provably fair methodology, you input the client seed in plain text to the site itself (lol)
Yeah. Misattributing security features to legitimize their narrative. Final decision handled in PHP, code hidden, odds manipulation at will.
Everything else is quackery and conman talk. Don't worry, their website won't last longer than 6 months (usually how long it takes for a department to get to a case).

Its not a business so no model indeed. Sadly you didn't respond to my answer above.. :(
Nothing is send to the server in plain text, check your network debugger(lol).

Yes the final decision is in PHP, we use hashing and HMAC so you can check if everything went fair. :)
Like they are going to spend time on a site with no users and has IP's blocked lmao.
