How long will a dormant device retain login info?

If a device was logged in with the browser set to retain username and password, and then shut down, would the device automatically log back in, even if the device had not been started for several months?

If so, could the account owner login from a remote computer and check when said device would have logged in, assuming the password was not changed in between events.
I am assuming your talking about when you click "remember me" or whatever when logging into something. It's actually more so dependant on the website as the length of time and stuff is stored in the cookies which the website sends to the browser and tells it to save.

I am talking about the "remember me" feature, yes. My machine is currently in the hands of an adversary and my idea is to monitor when the machine is powered up.

There is also a tablet associated with the same account that was set to remember login info, also in the hands of an adverse party.

If I can monitor the status of those machines it will be beneficial, but it does mean that the adverse party will also have account access so I am trying to decide whether to change the password and lock them out or keep the account active so that I can monitor my devices.
