Honestly going to start posting more.

I don't know what it was, even though I am here everyday - having that 100 days posting thing really made it a drag having to come on and post.

Anyone else feel like that? That it didn't really bring them back, but made them want to post less?
I'm not at 100 but half way into it and no, I actually don't feel the same way.
The lounge head on the other hand gave me a hard time.. People finished it in a few days. Took me a whole month and it was a pain.

For this one idc posting it everyday but I did actually put an alarm to remind me..

Yeah I kinda felt the same way and I started posting less as well..
Thats why my rate drop from 73% to 34%
In a sense. I had a little more incentive to be here, so I usually check in when I wake up. Am usually around on and off throughout the day, so not too big of a deal. That's understandable though.
Not that I'm no longer working I tend to browse hf less and less. Its mainly phone calls and video games today.

The awards for check-in and lounge head I feel kinda pushes people to post more "spammy" posts. Doesn't promote high quality content generally speaking.

None the less... As long as there are interesting topics it isn't too bad. :)

I'm trying to get it myself but I know what you mean. When I was going for the Lounge head award I felt like I was doing a job at times and finding things to post about seemed harder.

I like my bytes, so i keep on posting whenever possible.
No i feel completely the opposite actually. That award gave me incentive and motivation to post so much, I even made around 600+ posts in that time frame, never mind the 500 lol. It was also really fun interacting with the community SO much because I started to see the same faces and grow somewhat of a cool little friendship while in that process.

I'm at 87% for the Everyday Ninja, almost there finally. :D

The only other Goal Award that I'm currently actively going for is the Sportsbook award, which I'm at 50% for in just under 2 weeks I believe. Or something close to that number.

I'm honestly not sure how giving someone a Goal Award for post count would cause them to post less?
I can't imagine that many people feel this way, I would think it's the opposite like myself.

I rarely post. Busy myself. I don't really have the time or more precisely the mood to chat around. Though I always leave HF tab open. Feeling tired too right now.
I only post on the daily bytes thread that's all unless I found an interesting thread that I want to voice out my opinion or start a debate.

I think it's not so much that it doesn't promote people to post...it definitely does that. I think it's more so the feeling that its a chore and produces lower quality posts.

At least that is my opinion on it. BUT if the topics or convos are good here in the lounge then it doesn't feel like that.

See that's something I did notice, that people were reluctant to go for the award because they thought they would just post 500 LQP's. However, like I said in my above post I met a lot of people going for the award with me and got to know them, and there's one thing I noticed; not a single soul was posting LQP's, at least the users who care enough to actually devote that much time into getting the award. Most know that HF is NOT the forum for LQP'ing, far from it. You might be able to get away with it on other forums, but here on HF, nope, not a chance.

My ENTIRE 600+ posts during that 30 day period were all regular posts and actually many were decently sized just like this one and my other one above on this thread.

I suppose people just have a different opinion on what they consider to be a tedious task or a "chore" as you stated.
For me it wasn't a chore but more so another possibility to get to know the 2019 HF community a bit more and also benefit from it as well with post count and also the award. It was a fun experience for me, especially after you hit all the milestones along the way to that 500 post goal.

My posting is like 2-10 posts a day or all the way out of the roof. There's no in between.
Sometimes I feel like I have no motivation or incentive to post. There's times where I post a lot and kind of get burnt out.
