Just something that came to mind. I am aware that it might ruin the smooth look of HF, but it might be useful.
Currently, the specific sub-forum rules can be found under the "Important Sectional Forum Rules" button.
A lot of people, new or old to the forum don't even know that it is a button that you can press to see additional sub-forum rules. I think that displaying them at all times would be very beneficial to mitigate rule-breaking in certain sub-forums.
I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. This OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.
If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.
Thanks,
Stanley

Would be nice if the rules expanded on clicking though, and didn't open a new page.
Agreed. Sadly the thread is too old to edit.

This. Easily doable with a cookie. ✌
Hello. I'd like to bump this suggestion as expanded 'Important Sectional Forum Rules' would be very useful for newer members.
We used to have it like this before but I assume it was replaced by a hyperlink in the Mobale theme.
The method of showing forum rules could absolutely be improved. I'll give it some thought.

Wow, wasn't expecting my 2019 suggestion to pick up attention again. But thanks for the replies and looking forward to what comes from it.
