Speed reading

There are people claiming that can read a book a day. Do you believe is possible? Have you read any book about this subject or tryied something else?
Read about it several time, is seems to be possible, but not easy, needs a lot of practice.

There are good apps that help you speed reading stuff, there are multiple methods, check out some.
As I tried some, I could read much faster, but it was also more exhausting.

I don't have the time for that tbh. I barely find time to sit down nowadays, especially with the holidays afoot. Been reading one book on and off for like a month lol.

It all depends on the size of the book if its game of thrones or harry potter I would call BS but if it's like 10 chapters long then I am sure some people with a few hours can do that with ease.

I don’t personally speed read books, but I have an extension on my browser to speed read websites! It’s super useful for reading articles school related

Yes, there are some books I can read in a day. I must be really focussed and starting early, going to a quit room in the house or visit a library where I spend halve a day. I just don't believe in the 'speed reading' that some of the Asian's are paying for. They literally browse through a book, back and forth, for several times while the 'unconscious' is absorbing the information..

I looked it up and it's China. Please watch this, I thought your thread title was related to the video 😏

some people can its a strange trait to have.
I can, very easily the problem is, will I remember it after speed reading it? Prolly not.
At the same time, will I remember it reading it slowly and normally? Probably not.

I don't read books from A to Z. I usually read and remember only parts of the book, the parts that are interesting for me in some way.

But otherwise yes, I can read a few pages within seconds and then tell you what is it about, I'll likely forget about it in the next few seconds too so....
You can 'read' that fast... doesn't mean you'll comprehend any of it.

It’s honestly, amazing. Yeah you might not comprehend it as much, but if you gotta read a lot and are in a crunch, this will make you understand it real fast.

Just depends on the length of the book and if it's super interesting. I've read a few books pretty quickly but not recently
