Does Yahoo monitor web browsing?

First, I'll mention my experience with Google and Gmail. I discovered some time ago that when I was logged in to a gmail account, everything I did on the internet was being recorded and stored as part of my account. I figured out that this data can be deleted and that the monitoring feature can be turned off if you know where to look. I ended up deleting all data and also the accounts themselves and created new ones that I make sure has the monitoring feature turned off. However, my main email address for my personal emails is with Yahoo.

Therefore, I'm wondering if Yahoo also collects web browsing data when I'm logged into my account. Normally, I like to log into my account and stay logged in while I'm doing other things so that I can see when I get new emails. But I don't want Yahoo collecting data on everything I do the way Google can. When I do a search to find out about this subject, I can find that google does collect web browsing data, but I find nothing similar about Yahoo. In their policy on the subject: https://policies.yahoo.com/xa/en/yahoo/p.../index.htm it only talks about personal information given to them for Yahoo accounts, and also searches done in the Yahoo search function, but nothing is mentioned about other web browsing.

Could someone shed some light on this? Is it safe to have my Yahoo email logged in while web browsing, or does that allow Yahoo to monitor everything I do?
Google tends to log everything dependent on what browser you are using (Google Chrome) or if you are signed into an Android phone (location data, map locations, purchases, etc.). Your best bet would be to look at the given cookies that are stored when you sign into your Yahoo account, and then track and validate what they do and what they specific store. From there, you can see if it is tracking the websites you visit via a log file (or if they are using some ad provider that sends a signal back).

From just my usage, if you sign into a Google Mail account, and then delete the cookies (or don't let it sign you into Chrome, etc.), it won't track you even if you are opt-in.
You can assume any free services and majority of payed serviced collect and store everything you do.
There is a reason why they offer their service for free..
I'm sure they collect information.
