How does one measure IQ?
Can you measure the IQ of a genius?

Is being a genius just someone who sees from a different perspective?

create/prove something someone hasn't already i guess? you can measure iq but that being on the 99th percentile doesn't make you a genius. having a high iq can actually hinder you, if you have underlying mental illnesses, disorders, etc..

Well I suppose you could always base it against Albert Einstein's IQ which was about 160. However at the same time you could then compare it to someone like William James Sidis who supposedly had an IQ ranging anywhere from 250-300, which is absolutely insane if you think about it. Today the average IQ is 100 they say, who knows what it actually is though.

With people like Einstein and Sidis both being pure geniuses, it's hard to tell really where genius level begins seeing Einstein fell into the 160 range while Sidis fell into the 250-300. Yes Sidis was a child prodigy, but the argument is still there.

I would like to know as well. I wish I could find a nice IQ test, not one of those trash online ones that you just answer questions about.

You don't, because geniuses never think they are geniuses because they know there is so much stuff/knowledge they don't know. Observe the things around you, being that 1% that has different opinions that 99% doesn't make you a genius, also high IQ doesn't mean anything since all these online tests are useless, there is plenty of people scoring 150+ and they are dumb af.
Nowadays every other dude takes LSD/shrooms and they think they discovered the purpose of life.
Look at some popular historical figures, how young they were when they started doing whatever they did and all their accomplishments.

This is an interesting topic that I have wondered about many times but never really have an answer to. I guess when one knows that they are a genius he just knows. But it also depends on the definition that one has for being a genius which is mostly formed by the society we are raised up in. So a genius for me is someone who has seen a different perspective and grasped it. Also he has to have knowledge that is useful in life. For example human psychology and relations, economics, how to run a business, politics and so on.

Online IQ tests are useless and don't estimate anything. If you really want to do an IQ test you'll have to do it in a clinic I suppose? I did it in a hospital where a Psychologist held the IQ test for me. I scored 150 when I was in 7th Grade.

What I really wonder is if I took an IQ test back in 7th grade would our IQ as humans decrease within time or would it increase or none.

the online tests are the same tests that psychologists administer, so unless you cheat, they offer a fairly accurate approximation of what your IQ is.
