I am considering changing the Smilies box to Emojis. So that when you select a smilie it just inserts an Emoji instead. What do you guys think about that?

I may even go through the entire database and convert existing smilie code into an emoji instead.

Are there any major advantages for converting smilies to emojis for the server? If yes, then surely do it over nostalgia because I've not seen a lot of people use them nowadays.

I agree. Would be much easier to insert smileys from any platform by just using the codes. Remembering the codes are not much difficult.

Edit: How about keeping both? A few members don't want it to happen so maybe using another set of codes for the smileys would be great.

Smilies are a less efficient system. I prefer not to keep them both.

I would say yes to some update of smileys but i don't like the idea of the replacement by emojis.
