I'm looking for a new setup for the sound of my TV and music in my living room. What would be the best setup for both sound from the TV (netflix) and playing music? I want to stream everything from the TV, so should I get a home cinema set with a soundbar, or get good speakers (I was thinking KRK's) and hook those up to the TV?

What would you guys recommend?

Aren't there companies that offer such hookups? Ones that can connect to your TV, phone, laptop and you can basically control what is played on the stereo. Look for such companies in your city.

I would definitely say a soundbar that you can connect your phone to with bluetooth when you want music

Vizio make a pretty nice one with a sub

Agreed sound bars are the way to do it.

Connecting my phone isn’t really the issue, got a setup running with chromecast/bluetooth/airplay support atm.

Would just a soundbar beat a home cinema set?

Probably not but it would be a lot cheaper lol
