CSRF in some cases can be used to prevent XSS attacks. While indeed "not what its used for", reflected XSS is hard to happen when all major routes are protected by CSRF tokens and within this context, XSS is more of a concern than CSRF attacks since they can be a bit harder to setup. Appreciate your response though, thanks.
