Is there any sort of tool out there that allows you to hack/find the password of someone's Wifi Router? - and once you're into the network what are you potentially able to do?

Depends. Are you in the network or outside of it?
Aircrack-ng, Wifite, Reaver for outside.
For inside some might have a known CVE or just default credentials.
Just going to the local gateway on a browser will usually give you the router name.
From there search for the default credentials for said router and pretty high chances of GAME OVER.

If he got his Router in his room where you can detect it through his window, use the ESP8266 as a WiFi Jammer and zoom in with a wide zoom camera or something else and try to notice the password on the Router when someone grabs it.
You can maybe also use ultra violette camera for tracking him.

Try to use WiFi Jammer and then make Evil Twin attack directly.
It should look like his connection crashed somehow and he need to Login again into the Wifi but without password.

Hit the search button, a week ago or so my internet went down for 48 hours, i was looking for a guide here and found plenty.

I didn't have the patience to pull it off tho, since i am not knowledgeable about hacking in general.

first of all you need something like a Pineapple and do you mean cracking the password ? or do you mean slapping a payload onto the router and listening

The only GUI Tool I know is Fern, You'd have to download kali though

Usually people either are too lazy or just flat out don't know/care about changing their router's password. I managed to login to several routers of home networks just by using stock credentials. If they changed the password try use Routersploit.
