what are your top three most effective languages for hacking?

So, lets say you are giving advice to a beginner about which languages to learn to hack computers with. They want to know what the most effective languages are for various areas of hacking, like if you had to pick three languages that cover all of the different areas of hacking and were the most effective in all of those areas. What would they be and why?

I'm a beginner so I know that I don't have a right to have an opinion to my own question. But I am curious to see what the answers are and where the debate goes.
It'd depend on the particular niche of hackng, for example if you are developing exploits for binaries then C/ASM/Python might be a good choice, of course python can be supplemented with Ruby or Perl. Say we are doing webapps well now you are talking a different arena so maybe PHP/SQL/JavaScript. Something that is important and somehow is often neglected that hacking is not static, instead tactics and techniques are always evolving and are dynamic in nature, being a static operator means that you will never evolve to meet the newer challenges.
pip3 install --user termchat && termchat --room haystack --nick <your_nick>
Languages aren't too important, I'd say maybe Python, C/C++ and JavaScript or SQL?

Makes no difference, there's no general language for hacking, it's about finding issues and understanding software in general. (Knowledge of ASM might help you with binary exploitation etc., please specify which exact field you want to get into)

I want to be good at web hacking especially, but I also want to learn various other forms of hacking.

The big six for me are:

web hacking
social engineering
OSINT
wireless
reverse engineering
server/OS exploitation
exploit development (obviously)

But the one I want to learn the most is web hacking.
Hello mate,

It really depends on what you want. Either Python or Ruby is really good for automation stuff, such as quick testing and analysis for web app pentesting. JavaScript can do literally the same tasks just as py/ruby, also almost every site run it, so you have to play a lot with it, in order to understand how one website operate. Play with requests and see what exactly the website receive, inspecting the traffic flow etc etc. As of the tools you must have BurpSuite (community edition is fine, don't buy pro or look at cracked versions), you can use Nmap (I have made a tutorial based on scanning, you can check it out) and maybe lazyrecon. However you can also take a look at sqlmap (automates most of the things for you) i do recommend people to avoid using it, but it's really up to you.
