If you were in the shoes of Omniscient what would you change on the forum?
Since I am the one creating this thread I would break the ice.
To me everything looks totally fine except for the marketplace. I would make a rule so that whoever wants to sell/offer their services/products should send it to a team (bunch of trusted members as a volunteers) for a review. Once that service/product is being tested and proven that it works the thread would be opened and whoever is interested will know that they are buying something that is working and is not some method that used to work back in 1990's.
Of course as a true appreciation volunteers will earn bytes based on how much they've reviewed and as well receive an award. Weekly whoever reviewed the most will receive some extra bytes.
I'd do one thing and that's banning the sell of all ebooks.

Sounds like a great suggestion
I would delete the anime adventures section
I'd bring retired awards back randomly for limited time sales. Like, not even announce it but have the pokeball award for sale for a week.

I’d definitely find a more ways for users to earn bytes, like certain amount of posts per day grants you some extra bytes, like a posting reward system.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER

I'm surprised you didn't say make a mystery award.

This would open the doors for flood and/or spam

That’s why we have moderators, they ensure that the follows are enforced quite heavily so I think that problem would get solved pretty quickly.

It would have to be one you earn and don't buy, though. Like, for the people doing deep dive conspiracy threads lol.

Yeah but mods also have a life and can't see everything
Just my two cents :D

I wasn't trying to show disrespect or anything I just wanted to hear what other members have in their mind, still this is "Lounge".

Would remove the hacking element altogether, this was once a place that actual hackers would come to and discuss things around hacking however now and for quite a few years now the hacking part has been a minority while still making this forum "taboo" in nature.
You remove the hacking sections, the ratting, the keylogers, the malware discussion, the blatant criminal activity (meaning idiots who come here asking X to boot Y, or "hack my gf's instagram", etc all the stuff that gives the site a bad reputation and open it up with more topics and rewards for technology enthusiasts to participate here.
This site for a while has been more of a general technology discussion forum than a hacking forum anyways and if this was my site I would make it such, the name would remain and hacking discussions would be removed in all forms except for whitehat hacking that is to do with user challenges.
But then you have that huge marketplace that is a big part of the forum, and you need to have something to go with it otherwise it's just a marketplace forum and that would get stale fast. I would do my damndest to revamp the coding section in a way that has monthly coding challenges or that type of thing and rewards the top coders with awards/bytes.
In a way I think the site is heading kind of in the direction I've explained but not in a way that removes the hacking sections but one that encourages hacking challenges and PvP challenges, or that kind of thing, less BH discussion, more of an open atmosphere to people that aren't involved in illegal stuff whatsoever. There was a point I dont even know if this was a year ago or five years ago that Omni was looking for suggestions if he was to change the name of the forum , and I think that was for the exact reason I've explained, this isn't much a hacking forum anymore.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.

Don't know man, as much as I dislike the section that's a lot money in stickies you'd be missing out on.

Money making ebooks are the engine of the forum tbh...
Why ban the sell of ALL ebooks? There are some that have nothing to do with money making and teach things.
