Most configs you will find are not proxyless as website will start blocking requests from your IP after a certain number of requests. You do have the option to not use proxies if you want though.
Update: The Reddit and Amex configurations are no longer working. I'm working on fixes for both right now. All other configs for popular services (including Minecraft) seem to be working well!
