Hi guys,
I've just had a deal with a reputable member here & he showed me proofs for his legitimacy.
Our deal was priced at $500 but he said that I need to pay him all the money upfront through HF's contract but without using a middle man since he needs the money for our project funding to start off.
My question is, can I still be protected with our contract even if I didn't use a middle man?

If he isnt able to hold his end of the contract, he will be able to get banned, or atleast exposed to the public.
It will most definitly not magically send the money back to your wallet sadly.

If he's saying not to use MM, almost 100% a scam.

Contracts don't protect you from scams directly. They merely act as a deterrent to would-be scammers and allow staff to ban a member whom has been proven to be a scammer with undisputable evidence.

Contract is not a replacement for middleman.

If you get scammed, you can open a dispute on that seller, however that doesn't guarantee you'll get your money back.

dont mind using contracts, they dont back you up anyway. Seems that admin decides to close the threads anyway since they are cuddling together with the scammers

yes, thats theoretically the point of it. But seems that some admins are cuddling with the scammers behind the scenes since my dispute got closed/removed without any further notice.
