I’ve decided that even though I make really good money at my job, I’m going to try to make it on my own in the big bad world. I’ve got a few websites that aren’t profiting yet because I can’t put the time I need to into them.
I have built an off grid tiny house, leaving my monthly expenses at $200.
Does anybody have any advice who has done this before?
Any income ideas?
I’ve spent over 2000 on guides and methods on hf, and to be honest most of them were sub par.
First of all make sure you have everything you need before you quit.
a house isn't enough. make sure it equipped with everything needed, from cleaning equipment and tools to food and other utilities you might need.
then, make sure you plan your days to maximize your work ! if you plan on working independently to make a living then its your duty to be efficient as possible!
Don't give up easily, it will be hard but worth it eventually!
Good deeds make a long distance.
Hey man I’m quitting my job this week too! They treat me like absolute shit and don’t pay me well at all. I barely make enough to get by.
Honestly always wanted to do what you’re doing so go you man, as long as you have this really thought out why the hell not?

I've only ever said fuck you to one job. Everything in me says don't do it, but you know your situation better than I do.

I salute you sir.
Quitting your job is not as easy as it sounds, especially if you are doing well and getting a good salary.
It is brave of you to follow your dreams and I think too few people do so.
I quit my job last year, to take a degree as a web developer. It was a difficult decision, but I haven't regretted it once.
In order to get success I think you have to ask yourself, what are you really passionate about and what can you see yourself doing for the rest of your life?
That question took me many years to answer, but once you get the answer you'll wake up as a happier man. 🙂

It's a ballsy decision but if you are certain it will pay off then go do it. High risk decisions are hard to make but it's a good thing you are going for the high reward as well.
Have you got solar panels and that kind of thing? If you have renewable energy and grow your own veggies etc, you can reduce your monthly expenses to almost nada.
Do you have some money saved up? Bear in mind that most people going into business on their own can't afford to pay themselves for a couple of years, so you need some money to cover you, or you'll be straight back to the rat-race.
If you have IT skills, one overlooked method of working for yourself, is simple pound the pavement for a few hours in your area - print up some flyers, and just go around knocking on the door's of local businesses. Guaranteed that if you do it long enough, you'll find some customers. Good luck.

I already have a new job lined up making just under double what I’m making now. I wouldn’t make the mistake of sacrificing my only income for nothing.

Rule #1 don't buy ebooks
Why would they saturate their own revenue stream?
I've got a few questions for you because I'm just interested.
Why do you want to quit your well paying job?
Will you have internet in your off the grid house?
Why are you going to live off the grid?
Have you tried dropshipping yet?

I agree I think it’s a bit outlandish to quit and risk financially screwing yourself. At least make sure you can be stable and support yourself prior to making this choice.

Hard time and recession is coming up, so think twice before leaving your job, cause if you want to join back after leaving, you wont be able to do it.
