Creating a simple admin panel

Hi I am looking to make a website for a friend. Essentially users should be able to login, enter form data, upload images and save the record so it can be accessed by other users. Users need to submit a form every month so an email alert feature reminding them would also be useful.

I was thinking of using the codeignter framework and just using an admin template. Is this the best option? Appreciate all the help I can get, thanks!

Can you define what would make an option the best? Because without knowing that, we cannot give you factual input on whether it is, or isn't. Right now you're asking for our personal opinions on a framework and strategy. And that's entirely subjective.

Are thinking of using CodeIgniter because it's what you're most familiar with? If so, then sure, maybe it is the best option... for you. If I were to do this in PHP (I probably wouldn't, as a personal choice) then I'd use Laravel over CodeIgniter. But that's because I am more familiar with Laravel, and it's the better choice for me, personally.

Or maybe this is a learning opportunity for you, and you like the principles of CodeIgniter? In which case, sure, this could be the best option for you. Because at that point all that matters is you have a project you can leverage to learn something new.

Sorry I should have said. By best option I meant easiest and quickest. Being able to download a template and just editing the code where i need is what im after. Im not really looking to learn anything new atm and I was considering codeigniter because it was one of the first things that came up when I searched.
