Hi what gaming monitors do you recommend? I just got a new PC but I'm only looking to play a few online games like RDR2, GTA V, WW2 and CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE
Would you recommend a 4k monitor or a 2k 144hz monitor
What CPU/GPU do you have and what is your budget for a monitor?
What's your budget? There are lots of options for monitors.
Most people who play highly competitive games like call of duty games would prefer a 2k 144hz monitor, but a 4k monitor is also fine but you'll just miss out on the additional hz which could be a disadvantage in comparison for competitive play.
I used a VIOTEK GNV27DB 27-Inch Curved VA 144Hz 1440p for years and it was amazing for only $250, so I would recommend that if you're on a budget. If you have more to spend there are some better options though.
Asus VP249QGR 23.8” is a good 144hz monitor for the $150 range

Your PC will run everything fine, maybe not 4k 144hz but most can't manage that yet.
In competitive FPS games 144hz is almost like having an advantage, but it's really preference. 4k IPS 60fps will still look amazing.
If it's just for fun then go for an awesome IPS 4k monitor.

I will admit, sitting on 240hz, it's pretty beautiful aswell.

So would you notice the 60hz being choppy on those games?

Most people don't notice the difference between 60 and 144 unless they have used a 144.

I've played Forza Horizon racing game at 4k 60fps on my TV and it looked pretty smooth, not choppy. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as it's at least 60hz.

Just a quick search tells me that the VIOTEK GFI27QXA or LG 27UD88-W is a solid choice.
