So guys, i started learning C# somewhere in february. I was doing good so far but then i got leukemia, first few months i was in really bad condition so i stopped learning it. While ago, i moved from windows to linux. C# is mostly windows-based, but i don't want to go back to windows. Should i just move on from C# to another language like python, or continue with C# on linux? My main goal is malware writing.

Maybe i'll give it a shot after all (Aug 8, 2020 11:30 AM)randomvodkalover Wrote: Well yes but it's best use is in windows. And i kinda haven't felt comfortable in visual studio for linux There's no Visual Studio for Linux, only Visual Studio Code. C# applications don't require a GUI and can be used in uncountable cases. I can recommend VSCode or Rider as C# environment on Linux. I think you're better off in a Windows environment tbh. Stay strong friend ✌. Been using linux for years now, my advice: if you want to develop C# applications, you will need to download the Mono/MonoDevelop package & then you'll be able to compile .cs files. Also, Install a KVM Manager (Virtualbox alternative) and do the usual Windows 10 VM setup, to work in a windows environment. Malware is programmed in many languages, so don't limit yourself. VSCode is the best free editor out there for Linux, as you can work with any language on it. If you want a full-on IDE though, I recommend anything Intellij IDEA. It is probably the closest you'll get to a Visual Studio, but VSCode is enough. (Aug 8, 2020 02:21 PM)greywiz Wrote: Stay strong friend ✌.
